The only rainforest resort with its own beach and the only place in the world where two world heritage wonders meet - the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree, Cape Tribulation Rainforest. When opened in 1990 the resort received the PATA World Gold Award for Environmental Enhancement Development.

Choose your accommodation from 27 hillside units or the new 40 freestanding rainforest villas. All offer a choice of queen size bed or generous twins, The Long House is the focal point of the Resort, adjoining one of the pools and overlooking the beach and coral Sea. A stunning architectural example, yet blending into its surrounds. The Long House Restaurant is renowned for well presented, well prepared and and delicious food offering a wide variety of salads, barbecued North Queensland seafood and superb steaks.

At the Round House, start the day with a delicious breakfast and plan your days activities. A la carte lunches for guests are served daily and the Pandanus Bar lets you relax with the beverage of your choice. The bar is open all day and addresses the needs of guests relaxing around the Cascade Pool.

There are no phones or televisions in the rooms, we feel it doesn't blend with a rainforest environment holiday however, there is a television at the Round House and business facilities at Reception. Our staff like to think nothing is too much trouble. Immerse yourself in the World of Eco Tourism as little or as much as you like. Activities range from our escorted rainforest walks and lectures, to full day safaris to the Bloomfield River.

We're very qualified, and we are the only resort that actually operates an Education and Adventure Lodge on our premises available to special interest groups etc. It's our way of acknowledging our responsibility to this beautiful part of the world. The flora and fauna have been here for many years, so please don't be alarmed if you are lucky enough to receive a short visit from a friendly local.
