Ferntree Rainforest Resort has been built to have as little impact on its surroundings as possible. Nestled into the rainforest on 5 hectares of which two thirds remain untouched, Ferntree has been brilliantly designed and built to compliment the rainforest and ensure maximum guest comfort.

Surrounded by 10 hectares of lush rainforest, with Cape Tribulation Beach close-by, Ferntree Rainforest Resort makes the perfect base for exploring this superb paradise.The architect who designed Ferntree along with the builder whose craftsmanship is evident everywhere you look are both very well established in the Cairns region and have designed the resort to co-exist with the unique environment. The timbers used in the construction of the property are hardwood timbers, mainly Cooktown Ironweel, Ironbard and a hardwood called "Qwilla" in the restaurant area. Power and water sources are both generated from the resorts own operation.

As well as all the usual holiday activities you would expect, Ferntree Rainforest Resort also has 4WD safaris, natural waterholes, guided day/night walks, horse riding, escorted reef and river trips, mountain bikes, secluded beach and bird watching.

The Restaurant: Consists of 2 Dining Huts built into the rainforest along with the Main Building and outside deck areas overlooking the pool. The food is typically suited to the Tropics utilising seafood and tropical fruits.

The Bar: Situated in the main restaurant. Just the right spot to enjoy a pre-dinner drinks.

The Daintree Complex: Located near the Standard Rooms is the Resort's second swimming pool and a pleasant lounge and television area. It is also ideal setting for weddings, conferences and social outings.
