The latest addition to InterContinental Burswood Resort recently refurbished Hotel is a stylish new Executive Club Lounge. Located on the 9th floor of the Hotel, this private and functional new facility has been developed as an exclusive 'extra' for guests staying in Executive Club accommodation on the 8th, 9th and 10th floors together with guests staying within River Suites.

Consisting of a reception desk, business facilities, breakfast buffet, dining, lounge, audio-visual entertainment areas together with an alfresco balcony, the Executive Club Lounge has been tastefully decorated in a contemporary style of unsurpassed elegance and sophistication whilst maintaining a friendly and relaxing ambience. Open daily from 6.30am to 9.00pm, the Executive Club Lounge provides guests with prompt, personalised and professional service within a comfortable, exclusive environment.


Guests enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast from 6.30am to 10.30am, and freshly brewed tea, coffee and soft drinks available throughout the day. Relax in the lounge and entertainment area or glance through the magazines, local and international newspapers. Catch up with work at one of our private work-stations with free local telephone, facsimile and internet access services or wind down at the end of the day over pre-dinner drinks and canapes between 6.00pm and 7.00pm.

Phase two of the Hotel refurbishment programme involved a $5 million luxurious transformation of 19 premier accommodation suites, including the Presidential Suite, completed in early October 2001.

A major upgrade of the Hotel Lobby was commenced. It included a spectacular new water feature, relocation of retail outlets, a new concierge desk, installation of decorative overhead sails, new restaurant furnishings and fittings, and the creation of seven new meeting rooms in the Hotel Galleria.

The outdoor pool was during the colder winter months (until early October). The outdoor pool refurbishment included new paving and exterior features, and a new pool bar and café. The pool garden area features a pavilion for weddings and outdoor functions, set against a backdrop of white-trunked paperbark trees and immaculate landscaping.

Refurbishment of the indoor heated pool was also commenced and was reopen early October 2001 featuring stone wall panels, new flooring, a contemporary ceiling and a glass balustrade providing views across the new outdoor landscaping. A new spa was added and a new entrance created to the outdoor pool area.

Burswood Recreation Centre is one of Perth's best and most exclusive Health Clubs. The use of the Gymnasium, Spa, Sauna and pools are complimentary to guests staying at the Resort. Guests may also take advantage of the luxurious Swan River and its running and cycling tracks perfect for a relaxing walk or a 10 kilometre run. Guests may hire the Resort's tennis facilities and bicycles. Of course these facilities are also available from the Burswood Recreation Centre's exclusive membership program.
