This comprises of a queen size bedroom with lounge/dining attached and includes a wood fired combustion fire for those cooler evenings. The suite also includes a large private bathroom. Ideal for the longer stay or those seeking a little more privacy.
Bush walking and Beaches:-
There are many walking tracks around Murray Lagoon and Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park, that can be accessed directly from our property. For those that enjoy the beach and all it offers nearby D'Estrees(19kms) and Bales Bays(17kms) offer white sands, rocky out crops and crystal clear unpolluted waters. For those that like the surf Vivonne Bay has 1-2 metre swells.
Transportation:-
If transport is a problem we can pick you up and drop you off at Kingscote Airport, or Penneshaw Ferry terminal or can link you up with any of the Islands many and varied tour operators.
Nearby Attractions:-
Our location is ideal to take advantage of most of the islands natural attractions, such as Kelly Caves(40kms), Seal Bay(17kms), Flinders Chase(50kms) and the Remarkable Rocks(65kms). On our doorstep we have the famous Cliffords Honey Farm(17kms) that has the purest Bee variety in the world, The Ligurian Bee (originated in Northern Italy). Also close by is the Islands Eucalyptus distillery(22kms) producing eucalyptus-based products from locally grown narrow leaf gum.
The rooms are comfortable and cozy and include facilities to make tea & coffee. They also include ensuite facilities, plenty of hanging space and a colour TV.
Our lovely Deluxe Suite accommodation includes queen sized bed, combustion fire (for the cooler evenings). Access to the Verandah is available through the sliding doors. Cupboard and draw space is provided.
As part of the Deluxe Suite you have your own Dining/lounge area, colour tv and private bathroom. Our suite offers those little extra luxuries for that more comfortable stay or for the more private or romantic weekend. Champagnes or wines can be organised if asked upon booking.
Tamar Wallabies and Kangaroo Island Kanagaroos can been seen regulary at Lothlorien Homestead. On some of the night walks that are available you will see many, especially around dusk.
Echidnas are found all over our land surrounding Lothlorien Homestead, but are in there most numbers between August and September (Mating season)
Sealions large and small can been seen at Seal Bay. Seal Bay has one of the largest Sealion colonies in Australia.
Koalas are found all over Kangaroo Island and can been seen in many places.
While sitting on the verandah sipping a nice refreshing beverage, watch Murray Lagoon change colours as the magnificent sunsets reflect onto the still waters.
Everynight Murray Lagoon puts on a spectacular show as the sun decents below the horizon.
