We invite you to come and stay at the Ningaloo Reef Retreat. Located 66km from Exmouth, the Retreat is set among the dunes between the Mandu Sanctuary of Ningaloo Marine Park and the gorges of Cape Range National Park.

It is a timeless place where people have come to revel in nature for over 30,000 years.

FACILITIES
The camp offers simple functional facilities designed to allow access to this unique natural environment whilst minimising any human impact.

The wilderness tents are spacious and airy with beautiful views over Ningaloo Reef. They are well appointed with a comfortable queen size bed, ensuite (composting of course) and hammock to laze on. All tents are provided with 20 litres of fresh water per day for showering, brushing teeth etc. Please note that there is no hot water for showering.

The main tent features a camp kitchen where guests prepare communal meals, relax under the shade or grab a cup of tea or coffee.

All facilities are available 24 hours a day. Food is refrigerated and a large Esky (coolbox) is provided for any drinks you bring.

The camps communal areas are on a raised decking. This prevents soil compaction, which could slow the regeneration of plant life.

There is a small book collection with interpretive information on the marine life, wildlife, birdlife, Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park. There is also a small selection of novels if you want a rest from all of the activities.

Guests can sleep under star filled skies in our comfortable swags made by Cane River Station Swags. Please note that there is no communal shower for guests staying in swags, however they do offer a solar shower bag which can be filled by staff upon request at the Retreat.

Lockers are provided for your personal belongings.

The toilet block has handbasins and Natureloo composting toilets, which run off solar power.

Guests prepare communal meals in the well appointed camp kitchen. We use fresh local produce delivered daily to the camp.

One of the delicious meals from our recipe book. If you stay a few nights you will be able to choose your own.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Ningaloo Reef Retreat is located 66kms from Exmouth (2WD) or 136kms from Coral Bay (4WD only) in Cape Range National Park on the Yardie Creek Road. Head North from Exmouth on Murat Road past the Navy Base and take a left onto Yardie Creek Road. Follow the Yardie Creek Road around the North West Cape and into the National Park. If you are driving yourself you will need to pay the National Park Entry fee for your vehicle (around $10). Your camping fees are included in your stay.

Follow the road past the Milyering Visitor Centre (which is worth a look if you have time) to the South Mandu Track and park in the carparks provided.

We suggest you pack light as it is an 800m walk into the camp. Include-hat, towel and sunscreen and some warmer clothes for the evening. If you're keen to explore the ranges pack some good walking shoes and of course your camera. Also include any alcoholic beverages and sweets (chocolates) that you'd like. Please make sure that your bathers are easily accessible (or wear them under your clothes), we'd like to take you on a guided snorkel as soon as you arrive. If you have additional luggage the staff will be able to assist you at 10am or 2pm only.

We recommend guests arrive at 10am to make the most of the days activities. If you plan to arrive later please notify the office of your expected arrival time. Should you unexpectedly arrive late and the camp is unattended, feel free to help yourself to a cup of tea/coffee or cool drink. Your guide may be down at the beach already enjoying the snorkelling.

Check out is at 9:30am on your day of departure. You may stay as late as you wish, however your accommodation will need to be vacated by this time. We will provide lunch on your day of departure and this may be taken with you if you are making an early start. Our complimentary transfer service returns to Exmouth by 4pm.

Please remember that the distance between towns in the North West are great so plan regular stops to keep alert. Driving at dawn, dusk or through the night is not recommended because of the large amount of wildlife on the roads.
