Pinctada Cable Beach resort & spa, opening in May 2009, is the flagship of Marilynne Paspaley AM’s Pinctada Hotels & Resorts. Original artwork and handpicked décor and furnishings mirror the colours and textures of the Kimberley.

The design of this intimate 72-room resort respects Broome’s past, intelligent water and energy management systems embrace the future, and personalised service and tour experiences nurture the present.

The resort wraps an asymmetrical pool with spa nooks, a cascading water feature and 25m lap lane. The world-class Pinctada Spa offers couples and individual treatment rooms, Li’Tya Day Spa Dreaming products, two vichy shower treatment rooms, a juice bar, sauna and hair salon. The fine dining restaurant features a signature menu designed by Melbourne chef Greg Malouf of Mo Mo Restaurant and fresh produce from the resort’s market garden.

Here, all needs and desires are anticipated. All guest rooms are graciously sized with a private balcony or courtyard, spacious marble bathroom, king bed with fine quality linen and personal pillow menu, hi-definition TV, ipod docking station, Nespresso coffee maker, in-house movies, intelligent lighting and air conditioning, overhead fan and flow-through ventilation. The personalised cutlery in the Pinctada Suite is designed by Christofle and the Honjin Courtyard rooms open onto a courtyard with lush gardens and a relaxation plunge pool. The Honjin and Master Pearler rooms offer aromatherapy bath oil menus for their free standing baths.

Other features include 24-hour in-room dining, pool café and bar, cocktail bar, concierge and personal butler services, guest gym, resort boutique, meditative garden zones, business connectivity and a lounge-based check-in with refreshments.

Landscaping, by Jamie Durie’s Patio Landscape Architecture and Design, features native flora and completes the private and intimate world of Pinctada Cable Beach resort & spa.

Environmental credentials: Resource-saving measures at Pinctada Cable Beach resort & spa include grey water treatment, solar water heating and intelligent power management that includes daylight harvesting. The timber floors and boardwalks are constructed from recycled grey ironbark and all joinery is constructed to the latest E.U. low emission standards. Landscaping features mainly native plants that use minimal water and are drought tolerant. The design also captures prevailing breezes, reducing the need for air conditioning which further reduces the resort’s carbon footprint.

Designed to capture light and the Indian Ocean breezes our Shinju Pool View studios feature a spacious marble bathroom with a shower built for two. polished hardwood floors and a private balcony overlooking the cascading water features and landscaping of the resort’s Maxima Pool.
