Silver Ridge Retreat is an accommodation property of excellence situated on the fringe of Tasmania's outstanding wilderness, of Mt Roland, near Sheffield. A peaceful environment with country hospitality, the complex consists of a main lodge building of timber construction with cozy log fires, indoor heated swimming pool and a country style restaurant.

Two-bedroom, four star rated cottages, some with spa-tub bathrooms are set back under the backdrop of the mountain to provide seclusion and privacy. Sited with magnificent views of the mountain, all have cosy wood fire to enjoy. All rooms have separate lounge and kitchen facilities comprising of a stove, fridge, and microwave. All cooking requirements, linen and bedding is supplied.

The atmosphere is one of peace and tranquillity. Telephones, televisions and guest laundry facilities are available in a communal area.

For a relaxing and tastey meal our licensed restaurant, "The Horse and Cart" offers light meals and an extensive three-course buffet dinner that makes good use of the superb local fruit and vegetables. Our wine list features the excellent Pinots and white wines of the local vineyards and a selected range of mainland wines.

The many surrounding Tasmanian attractions include Cradle Mountain National Park, Mole Creek Caves and Wildlife Park, Lake Barrington Rowing Course and Sheffield Town of Murals. All are within 40 minutes scenic drive and are not to be missed during your stay in Tasmania.
