The Goldfields of Victoria is full of exciting things to see and do. The region is well signposted along the Goldfields Tourist Route and this route takes in all the major attractions in the towns of Ballarat, Bendigo, Stawell, Beaufort, Maldon, Tarnagulla and Creswick. In Ballarat you will find Sovereign Hill, Eureka Stockade Memorial and Exhibition, Kryal Castle, Ballarat Wildlife Park, the Ballarat Botanical Gardens and Lake Wendouree.In and around the town of Bendigo you will find attractions such as the Golden Dragon Museum, Central Deborah Mine, the Bendigo Talking Tram and Tram Museum, the Chinese Joss House and Rosalind Park as well as Whipstick State Park. Some other towns have interesting attractions, like Mt Beckworth near Clunes, Hepburn Springs, Lake Daylesford and Lake Jubilee near Daylesford, Old Castlemaine Gaol, Carman’s Tunnel Goldmine in Maldon and Forest Creek Historic Gold Mine near Castlemaine.
