The South East and Goldfeilds region is home to many historical, natural and coastal attractions. The region is home to the towns of Albany, Esperance along the coast and the outback towns of Coolgardie and Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

Albany is the oldest European settlement in Western Australia and due to this fact there is many old and historical attractions such as some fine colonial buildings like Stirling Terrace and Patrick Taylor Cottage. Other attractions in Albany include Mt Clarence, Mt Melville, Princess Royal Fortress, Dog Rock and Albany Residency Museum. Around the outskirts of Albany there are attractions such as Natural Bridge, Gap, Blowholes, Frenchman Bay Whaleworld Museum, West Cape National Park and Torndirrup National Park.

Esperance holds some spectacular attractions and scenery, which includes a Municipal Museum, the Great Ocean Drive, Pink Lake, Recherche Archipelago and some great beaches along the coast. Around the area of Esperance the tourist will find attractions like Cape Le Grand, Frenchman’s Peak, Cape Arid National Park and Peak Charles National Park.

Coolgardie is home to the Goldfields Exhibition, Warden Finnerty’s Residence and the towns old buildings of the Post Office and Town Hall. Kalgoorlie-Boulder has the attractions Hannans North Tourist Mine, Golden Mile Loopline Railway, Museum of Goldfields, a legal Two-up School, Mt Charlotte Lookout, Super Pit and Hammond Park.

This regions other big attractions include the spectacular rock formation of Wave Rock near the town of Hyden, Wildflower Way near New Norcia, the Great Eastern Highway, the Nullarbor Plain, Gibson Desert and the Great Victoria Desert.
