The south of Tasmania is a beautiful region with many national parks and breath taking scenery. The capital of Tasmania, Hobart, is found in the south east of this region and it is in this city you will find the attractions of Van Diemen’s Land Folk Museum, Battery Point, Anglesea Barracks, the Cascade Brewery and Risdon Cove. Around the city of Hobart are some great places to visit including historic Port Arthur, Bruny Island, Storm Bay, Mount Field National Park, Richmond and the Derwent River.

The south of Tasmania also holds the spectacular Hartz Mountains National Park, the Hastings Cave and Thermal Pool, Lune River and the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park complete with the Gordon Lake and Lake Pedder.
