The New England region of NSW has some breathtaking scenery throughout the national parks that are found here. The Werrikimbe National Park is one of the more remote and rugged parks. The Wollomombi and Apsley Falls as well as the Oxley Wild rivers are found in the New England region and these sites are fascinating. Cathedral Rock is an amazing site as is the Gibraltar Range, which holds dramatic scenery that stop you in your tracks. Bald Rock and Boonoo Boonoo are huge attractions in the area and can not be missed when travelling to this region.

Through this region you will find the country towns of Tamworth, the country music capital of Australia, which has attractions such as the Golden Guitar (12m high) and the Hands of Fame. Armidale has a Folk museum and Regional Art museum, which are very interesting as well as the Aboriginal Cultural Centre & Keeping Place. Glen Innes is found with in this region, with its Land of the Beardies History House. Inverell has a Pioneer Village and Mining museum. Then there is Tenterfeild, which has the Sir Henry Parkes Memorial School of Arts and the famous bushranger Captain Thunderbolts Hideout.
