The north west region of Tasmania is the home of Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. This national park is one of the biggest attractions in Tasmania with many walking tracks and the magnificent Lake St Clair.

The town of Strahan is located on the west coast of Tasmania and is home to many attractions such as Sarah Island, Hogarth Falls, Henty Dunes, Ocean Beach and Customs House. Around the western area of this region the towns of Queenstown, Corinna, Zeehan and Rosebery are found with attractions such as Montezuma Falls, St Luke’s Curch, West Coast Pioneer’s Museum and Spion Kop Lookout.

The north west of this region has the small towns of Burnie, Wynyard, Stanley and Marrawah. These towns hold attractions such as Burnie Park, Guide Falls, Fossil Bluff, Rocky Cape National Park, Detention Falls, The Nut, Lake Chisholm, Milkshake Forest Reserve, Arthur River and Hellyer Gorge. King Island is off the coast of this region and is famous for its Dairy, but it also has some great scenery and is a great place to visit if in the area.

Devonport is the main city in this region and has attractions such as the Tasmanian Aboriginal Culture and Art Centre, Taswegia, Don River Railway Museum, Home Hill, Asbestos Range National Park and the Tasmanian Maritime Museum. Around Devonport are the attractions Leven Canyon, Gunns Plains Cave Reserve, Deloraine, Mole Creek and Sheffeild.
