The most famous Australian attraction of Uluru (Ayres Rock) is found in the south west corner of this region along with the Olgas, another amazing rock formation. The Town of Alice Springs is the tourist centre of this region and here you can reach all the attractions of the MacDonnell Ranges, Kata Tjuta National Park (including Uluru) and the Watarraka National Park. The town itself has some very interesting attractions like the Telegraph Station Historical Reserve, ANZAC Hill, the Museum of Central Australia, Panorama Guth, Pitchi Richi Sanctuary and Alice Springs Desert Park.
The region also holds the town of Tennant Creek, mainly used as a stop over town between Darwin and Alice Springs. The town does however have some interesting sites and attractions, including the National Trust Museum, Gold Stamp Battery, One Tank Hill Lookout and not far from Tennant Creek is the Devil’s Marbles Conservation Reserve.
