The biggest attraction to this area is of course the Murray River and all the activities that can take place on or around the river, such as boating, fishing, water skiing and picnics. There are also many other things to se and do while in and around the regions towns of Albury, Wagga Wagga, Narrandera, Griffith, Deniliquin and the likes. Whilst in Albury you can visit Noreuil Park, Ettamogah Wildlife Park, Jindera Museum as well as all the river activities that are held near by. If you visit Wagga Wagga you should stop and see the excellent Botanical Gardens, take a walk down the Wiradjuri Walking Track or view some historical buildings in the near by town of Junee. Narrandera has the wonderful Lake Talbot and the Bundidgerry Walking Track as well as the John Lake Centre. In Griffith you can find the Pioneer Park Museum as well as watch how fruit pickers go about their daily work. Also around Griffith are the national parks of Cocoparra and Willandra, which both provide some great scenery and wildlife. This are is a great place to visit when you have the time to take it slow and unwind in country NSW.
