The Southern Highlands is a very pretty region with many towns having spectacular gardens and attractive country lodges. The towns of Bowral, Mittagong, Moss Vale and Bundanoon are the main towns people come to visit. The town of Bowral is the home of Australia’s greatest sportsman Sir Donald Bradman. It is here where they hold a museum for him as well as his sport of cricket and an oval named after him. Bowral also holds some of the most gorgeous gardens and is a very pretty town to wonder through and stay a night or two. The town of Bundanoon is known for its deep gorges and high sandstone plateaus found in the Budawang Range. Mittagong is a quiet little town with a relaxing atmosphere and you can find here the Southern Highlands Information centre for a more detailed list on attractions in the area.
