The city of Townsville is Queensland’s fourth largest city and has some great attractions in this great Australian city. Heading the list of attractions in Townsville is the Great Barrier Reef Wonderland, followed by attractions such as the Aquarium, Omnimax Theatre, and the Museum of Tropical Queensland, North Queensland Military Museum, Townsville Museum and Perc Tucker Gallery.

The town also has some great parks and gardens, which include the Queens Gardens, Botanic Gardens, Anderson Park, Billabong Sanctuary, Palmetum and the Town Common Reserve. Other attractions in Townsville include the Flinders St Mall, Cotter’s Market and the Coral Memorial Rockpool.

Magnetic Island is another attraction of the coast of Townsville and has some great places to visit such as Picnic Bay, Nelly Bay, Arcadia and Radical Bay. It is at radical bay where you can visit the Searchlight Station an then walk across the headland to Balding Bay and Horseshoe Bay. Horseshoe Bay has a great Koala Park and Mango Plantation.
